About the itinerary

Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence excursion: a private itinerary

The Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence excursion is three towns in one day, with three different Riviera atmospheres.

Cannes brings glamour, the Palais des Festivals red carpet, the elegant Croisette with luxury boutiques and hotels, and Le Suquet old town overlooking the bay. Antibes is an old port with Europe's largest marina, Port Vauban, Vauban ramparts, a Provençal market and the Picasso Museum. Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a Provençal artists' village, where dozens of galleries sit beside cobbled lanes and mountain views. A private guide and premium transport let you see it all at a comfortable pace in one day. We can adapt the itinerary: more shopping time in Cannes, lunch overlooking Antibes harbour or an extra hour in Saint-Paul-de-Vence galleries.

Three towns, three atmospheres, one day. Cannes: glamour, the Palais des Festivals’ red carpet, boutiques and elegant La Croisette.

Antibes: port-town character, Europe’s largest yacht marina, old neighbourhoods and Cap d’Antibes, with pines above the sea. Saint-Paul-de-Vence: Provence’s artistic heart, with dozens of galleries and sunset light that brings artists from around the world. With a private guide, you do not just see places but understand their context: why a fishing village became a film capital, how Antibes evolved from Greek colony to yachting capital and why Chagall and Picasso were drawn to Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

Who it is for

Who this itinerary is for

01

You want to see Cannes without the bustle

Cannes is more than its red carpet. I show you Le Suquet old town with bay views, elegant La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals and film-festival chic, without crowds or rushing.

02

You like variety in a single day

In eight hours, three sides of the Riviera: Cannes’ glamour, Antibes’ port-town character and Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s artistic soul. You do more than see three towns; you experience three different atmospheres.

03

Interested in cinema and festival culture

The Palais des Festivals, Walk of Fame and film legends’ handprints along the waterfront: Cannes breathes the history of world cinema. I share festival stories you will not find in guidebooks.

04

You want both glamour and authenticity

From La Croisette’s boutiques and hotels to Antibes’ fishing boats and Saint-Paul-de-Vence’s galleries. The contrast makes this one of the richest and most interesting itineraries.

What you will see

What you will see

Cannes: La Croisette

Cannes: La Croisette

The famous 2.5-kilometre promenade, with palms, the Carlton hotel, Louis Vuitton and Dior boutiques, and the Mediterranean stretching to the horizon. You feel like a film star: white yachts, elegant cafés and the scent of sea and glamour. I explain how a fishing village became the world capital of cinema.

Palais des Festivals and the Walk of Fame

Palais des Festivals and the Walk of Fame

The legendary Palais des Festivals and its red carpet, home to the Cannes Film Festival and other world events. The Walk of Fame with handprints from Sophia Loren to Quentin Tarantino. Take a photograph on the steps like a world cinema star.

Le Suquet: Cannes’ old town

Le Suquet: Cannes’ old town

Cannes’ historic heart, on a hill overlooking the whole bay. Narrow cobbled lanes, Notre-Dame d’Espérance church, old stone houses and a panorama worth climbing for. The contrast with glamorous La Croisette below is striking.

Antibes: old town and harbour

Antibes: old town and harbour

The historic centre with 16th-century ramparts and Europe's largest marina, Port Vauban. Superyachts and fishing boats side by side, a Provençal produce market and the Picasso Museum in the Château Grimaldi. A genuine southern port town.

Cap d’Antibes

Cap d’Antibes

A panoramic stop on a cape with pine woods. Views of Juan-les-Pins Bay, the Estérel mountains and the endless Mediterranean. Exclusive villas and the legendary Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc hide among the pines, a place of special energy on the Riviera.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence: the day’s finale

Saint-Paul-de-Vence: the day’s finale

One of France’s most beautiful villages. Dozens of galleries, cobbled streets, ivy on stone walls and mountain panoramas. Chagall, Picasso and Matisse sought inspiration here. At sunset, the village turns golden, a perfect end to a full day.

Our guests’ voices

What travellers say

A wonderful itinerary through three towns with entirely different characters. Cannes impressed us with its elegance, Antibes with its authenticity, and Saint-Paul-de-Vence was magical. Our guide planned the day brilliantly: short journeys and enough time everywhere. Lunch in Antibes overlooking the harbour was one of the best of the holiday.
Marina and Alexei · MoscowOctober 2026
I booked with an emphasis on Cannes’s film history. Our guide shared plenty you cannot find online: festival stories, scandals and legends. Le Suquet was an unexpectedly authentic contrast to glamorous La Croisette. Saint-Paul-de-Vence at sunset was a fitting finale.
Viktor · LondonSeptember 2026
We travelled with teenagers and everyone enjoyed it. The children were impressed by the Palais des Festivals and red carpet, and Antibes’ yacht harbour. In Saint-Paul-de-Vence, even the teenagers forgot their phones and started photographing the lanes. An excellent family format.
The Gromov family · Saint PetersburgAugust 2026
I often visit the Riviera, but this tour showed me a new side of Cannes. Le Suquet, festival history and hidden photo spots: the guide knows the city like a resident. Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence are perfect additions. Recommended even for those who think they have seen everything.

FAQ

Questions about this itinerary

Answers to the main questions before booking.

Can we go inside the Palais des Festivals?

On ordinary days, the lobby and some public areas are open. During festivals in May, June and September, access is restricted. Even outside, there is the red carpet, Walk of Fame and the atmosphere of world cinema. The place has a special magic for film lovers.

How long is the drive from Cannes to Antibes?

Around 15–20 minutes along the coastal road. The towns are very close, which is one reason the itinerary works so well: plenty of discoveries without tiring drives.

How does this itinerary differ from ‘Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence’?

This itinerary adds Cannes: La Croisette, the Palais des Festivals, the Walk of Stars and Le Suquet old town. It is an hour longer and gives a fuller picture of the western Riviera. If Cannes does not interest you, choose the shorter Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence option.

When is the best time in terms of festivals?

The Cannes Film Festival is in May, Cannes Lions for advertising in June, and the Yachting Festival in September. Major events bring a special atmosphere but also more people and higher prices. For a relaxed tour, choose dates between festivals or the shoulder season, April or October.
