These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AWG Sommelier (“the App”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About AWG Sommelier
AWG Sommelier is an AI-powered wine and food pairing assistant created by Art Wine Guide.
The App may provide features such as:
- wine recommendations for food;
- food recommendations for wine;
- wine label scanning;
- dish photo analysis;
- restaurant wine list analysis;
- saved recommendations, history, wine shelf and taste profile;
- Premium subscription features.
2. Informational purpose only
The App provides wine and food pairing suggestions for informational and educational purposes only.
Recommendations are generated with the help of AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your exact situation.
You are responsible for evaluating all recommendations before relying on them.
3. Alcohol responsibility
AWG Sommelier does not sell alcohol and does not enable alcohol purchases.
The App is intended for users who are legally allowed to access wine-related content in their country or region.
By using the App, you confirm that you are of legal age to view wine-related content and that you will comply with applicable laws regarding alcohol.
Please drink responsibly.
4. No medical, legal or professional advice
The App does not provide medical, legal, nutritional, financial or safety-critical advice.
Wine and food recommendations may not account for allergies, health conditions, medication, pregnancy, dietary restrictions, religious restrictions or personal sensitivities.
If you have dietary, health or legal concerns, consult a qualified professional.
5. AI-generated content
The App uses AI to generate recommendations, summaries and analysis.
AI-generated content may:
- contain errors;
- misread images or labels;
- suggest wines or producers that may not be available in your location;
- provide incomplete or outdated information;
- fail to account for your personal context.
You should independently verify important information such as price, availability, producer, vintage, appellation and ingredients.
6. User content
You may submit text or photos to the App for analysis.
You agree not to submit:
- illegal content;
- offensive or abusive content;
- images containing people without permission;
- identity documents;
- payment cards;
- private addresses;
- sensitive personal information;
- content that you do not have the right to use.
You remain responsible for the content you submit.
7. Subscriptions and payments
The App may offer free features and paid Premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.
Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID.
Subscription terms, including price and duration, are shown on the purchase screen before confirmation.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
We do not process or store your full payment card information.
8. Free limits and Premium access
The App may apply free usage limits to AI-powered features.
Premium access may remove or increase certain limits, depending on the subscription plan shown in the App.
We may modify free limits, Premium features or pricing in the future, subject to applicable App Store rules.
9. Restore purchases
If you purchased Premium access and it is not active in the App, you can use the “Restore Purchases” button where available.
10. Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep the App available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Features may be unavailable due to:
- internet connection issues;
- backend maintenance;
- AI service availability;
- App Store or subscription service issues;
- technical errors.
We do not guarantee that recommendations, scans or analyses will always be accurate.
11. Intellectual property
The App, design, branding, text, structure and original content are owned by Art Wine Guide or its licensors, except where otherwise stated.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the App without permission.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the App;
- attempt to bypass usage limits or subscriptions;
- overload or attack the backend;
- use the App for illegal purposes;
- copy or resell AI-generated outputs as a competing service;
- interfere with the App’s security or operation.

14. Apple Standard EULA
If you download the App from the Apple App Store, your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, unless a custom license agreement is provided.

15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- inaccurate recommendations;
- unavailable wines or incorrect prices;
- decisions you make based on AI-generated content;
- health, dietary, allergy or alcohol-related consequences;
- indirect, incidental or consequential damages;
- service interruptions or technical failures.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot be excluded under applicable law.
16. Changes to the App
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
We may also change features, limits, pricing or availability, subject to applicable App Store rules and consumer protection laws.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law
